Get A Perfect Job
Welcome to my Job Site. The idea is to try & help all of us who are searching for ways to find a job or at least make a buck here & there. I believe that one way would be opening a newspaper employment classifieds. But there is not much out there that is advertised in the paper. The other way is maybe talking to people; asking questions; getting educated about the job situation in our community. Good idea but very slow & iffy approach…One should try & sell themselves in many areas at once & in the fastest possible fashion.
So I am collected all the jobs & all about the jobs that I could. I found several key places where people look for the job & placed them all in one place. Searched Google to find what people are actually looking for what kind of work in which areas…Maybe that way one could just come here & find whatever they are looking for.
I also found several places where you could get your resume done professionally so that you can land that perfect job.
I believe that looking for work is full time job in itself.
I use to send a few hundred emails or letters per week in search for work. One should also keep up with up-to-date job offers. At the same time it would be really good to look into jobs that are not there in advertisements or jobs ads. One should find companies & organizations that just might look for people & send them the same cover letters & resumes. More often that is the best way to land that perfect job perfect job.
Yellow Pages are a good source of companies in your area. Many have their website up. Great way to learn about the company what they are all about & even in some cases get a direct email address to a CEO or a general manager. I use to have my cover letter all prepared together with my resume & then it doesn’t take much time to copy & paste those into the email body or attach as a file. I was always careful to explain in the body of the email that I am forwarding my resume in the Word format just in case the recipient is afraid to open it. Even then some companies do not open attachments unless they come from a reliable source. Most of the time those companies will state that they do not open attachments in which case the resume could be also pasted in the email body.
So in Yellow Pages I will first search for the kind of company plumbing; construction etc. that I am interested in. Then I would visit all the ones that have a web presence. On any given day there are many companies with websites with their email addresses just waiting for you to send your cover letter & resume. Most of the time I would get some kind of response from them acknowledging that they received my resume & even if they are not hiring at the moment they will keep my resume on file…Not only that but I will have their contact information that I just might use in the future…
Looking for work looking for work creates a two way street between the one who is looking & the one who is in the position to offer. That two way street should be revisited from time to time. Things change & one should keep up with those changes in order to stay on top of things.
Information is the most important part of anything in life & the same goes for job search. Keep your eyes open & use the time between jobs to better yourself. To polish up your resume maybe add that new skill or training…But always always follow up with news tips etc. That is what I hope my site will help with. Staying on top of things. Good luck in finding that perfect job.
