With unemployement on the rise. 10.7 % here in Florida or roughly 987,000 jobless people. Tampa jobs are hard to come by. The state of our economy is still in flux. Many are out of work and we are seeing times that most from our generation have never seen before. The increased panhandling, will work for food and help me signs are proof that we are in dire straits. I know many people some friends that have lost their job due to cutbacks or simply gone out of business. These are tough times and leave many to think of what to do next.
Some leading recruiters think that this is the right time to re-evaluate your career and maybe your field of work. Take a hard look at where your field is headed and make some tough decisions. Chances are that you will find more medical, computer and hospitality jobs than any other. This shows that there is plenty of supply but no demand. When you have found a job that interests you then do a little research on the job field. Do you need a degree or certificate? How much experience do you need?
Now that you have an idea of the job you want and what its gonna take to get it, all you have to do is take it! If you have chosen to go into the medical field, then most certainly you will need some professional training in order to meet minimum qualifications. Don’t drag your feet on this, get out there and find the right school or instruction. Many career fields offer some sort of online instruction and most online colleges offer tuition assistance for those who cannot afford the costs. The choice is yours. Are you gonna sit and pout in this trying economy or are you gonna do something about it and make a real change for you and your family?
